Head of Business Development, Europe (8742)

We’re looking for a Head of Business Development, Europe to join Digital Media team in London.

Business Development has a mission to build the foundation for long term growth for Digital Media. With Virtual Reality and Immersive audio as focus areas, you will evaluate, analyze, recommend, and close, new business development opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, and other strategic assignments in Europe.  The core tenants of the role include investigating and identifying new potential market segments, identify new technologies/ trends and creating partnerships that enable our continued leadership, present potential M&A prospects to the management team that fit within the product and growth strategy, develop key ecosystem partnerships that allow for rapid growth and enhance core product capabilities. The role requires a high level of collaboration and joint effort with core North America based counterparts.

The Head of Business Development will also provide relevant feedback from the marketplace to the product, business development, and senior management teams as appropriate to continuously improve and expand the suite of Digital Media products and technologies. The Head of Business Development will be effective at executing deals in a highly complex and fluid environment. In this role you will expected to be the regional business development expert.

This is a management role and you will be expected to build a local team.

Your responsibilities also include:

  • Possess thought leadership both internally and externally
  • Identifying, evaluating, recommending, and closing on new business opportunities for organic/inorganic growth from a strategic, GTM, and financial perspective
  • Providing robust, independent analysis and business modeling
  • Working with multi-disciplinary deal teams
  • Advance strategic opportunities both internally and externally
  • Developing, maintaining, and cultivating a broad array of industry/business relationships
  • Engaging in and identifying trade organizations, events, and panel/speaking opportunities that advance business development objectives
  • Willingness to accept accountability for results


  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in either business development focused on one or more of the following areas business areas: digital media, VR, audio, imaging/video/graphics technology, OTT / mobile video, motion picture/TV/entertainment technology businesses. 5+ years must have been in Europe.
  • 5+ years leadership experience
  • Detailed knowledge of entertainment, new digital trends and technologies
  • Relevant industry relationships across digital media, VR, audio, technology, advertising and/or motion picture, TV, entertainment industries.
  • Requires regular travel throughout Western Europe and occasional travel the USA
  • Transaction management and execution experience (partnerships, closings, complex deals, mergers, acquisitions, divestments, out-licensing)
  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • Proven ability to lead teams inside and outside of reporting structure
  • Translation of product strategy into business development opportunities for organic/inorganic growth
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to successfully lead major strategic business development initiatives.
