Job Description

  • Pilot autonomous mapping drones across the U.K.
  • Responsibility to manage end to end process including client delivery
  • Enhance our product fit and provide best service to clients

  • Frequent travel with work around the UK and in Asia, Africa and the US

SenSat are looking for a talented Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for managing SenSat's DaaS (digitisation as a service) client projects, ensuring successful delivery and repeat business. The operations team (DaaS) are tasked with digitally recreating the world using autonomous mapping drones. These drones fly at 80m altitude, taking millions of measurements of the ground to build an exact digital replica of the world beneath. You will look after the end to end delivery of projects including planning and piloting drone flights.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to manage your work to meet targets, be motivated and ready to go above and beyond this job description and want to join a growing company in an exciting new sector. You will also be willing to travel frequently for work, both within the U.K. and abroad.

Ideally, you will have experience with topographical surveying processes or engineering software such as AutoDesk. You will need to have knowledge of Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry techniques and be ready to get your hands dirty - help to write and iterate operational processes until we have a sleek machine. You will also have experience managing clients from a customer success point of view, ensuring successful delivery for repeat business.

SenSat operate two product lines; Digitisation as a Service (DaaS) - digital surveys and modelling sold on a ‘per project’ basis, and SaaS - our Mapp product that is sold on a licence basis.

In the next 12 months you will:

  • Become a fully qualified UK PfCO commercial drone pilot
  • Have the opportunity to travel and work on critical infrastructure projects around the UK and abroad
  • Generate Annual Recurring Revenue through successful client project delivery
  • Grow and manage a successful operations team
  • Become an integral part of the SenSat team
  • Lead operational work abroad including in Asia, Africa and the US


  • 1-3 years of construction/surveying experience
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Process driven with attention to detail
  • Proven project delivery skills
  • Experience with photogrammetry/remote sensing
  • Ability to set and meet targets
  • Ready to join a growing team
  • Ready to go above and beyond the line of duty
  • Related degree in Geography/Engineering preferred
