Working with a team of technicians and engineers in cleanrooms, both in the UK and in offshore locations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deploy knowledge of a wide range of III-V Wafer Fabrication processes and their interaction with each other and also with epitaxial growth processes to design process architectures that meet product development requirements including parametric performance, end to end yield and reliability.
  • Use experience and knowledge to negotiate with both design engineers and process owners to ensure that designs are capable of being manufactured and meet both product and process specifications;
  • Understand the impact of process design on device performance to optimise product performance, yield and cost;
  • Responsible for the development of device fabrication process routes and their maintenance;
  • Work with process engineers to understand individual process capability and also the interactions between processes to optimise the overall process/product capability;
  • Assist in designing processes that are capable of meeting the product specification;
  • Analyse and report technology development status;
  • Develop and document “Process Libraries” for use by the design team;
