Insights with an Entrepreneur - Series - FREE Early Evening Talk

The second in the series of 'Fireside chats' with entrepreneurs across a range of sectors and across the Region. This series is hosted by Allia and on this occasion facilitated by journalist Matt Gooding from Cambridge News. We invite you to hear the personal journey and insights from those that have launched new start ups, grown and established a business and then in many cases started another venture and continued that journey of launch, growth and scale up over and over. Delve into the mind of an entrepreneur, ask what motivates them and how they sustain themselves within today's fast moving business and start up climate. Join us for an early evening filled with personal insights and revelations from our guest speakers, facilitated by local journalists and followed by business networking and connectivity. Following on last month from our speaker Barnaby Perks, Ieso Digital Health, we now invite Martina King from Featurespace, the world's leading provider of Adaptive Behavioural Analytics technology.

Martina King Martina is CEO of Featurespace and joined the company in 2012. Former Managing Director of augmented reality company Aurasma, Martina has an extensive career in media technology, including leadership roles at Yahoo! Europe and Capital Radio. Martina is non-executive director of Debenhams, and was named one of the Top 40 powerful women in tech by Silicon Republic.

Featurespace Teaching machines to act and to think like humans is an exciting recent breakthrough in these academic fields. Featurespace’s Adaptive Behavioural Analytics technology left the Cambridge Engineering Department in 2008, when Betfair asked Featurespace to build the first system to outwit fraud attacks by thinking like each one of their customers. Featurespace built the world’s first Adaptive Behavioural Analytics engine – the ARIC platform – to solve this commercial challenge. We found the Financial Services industry was plagued by similar issues. ARIC is proving the commercial value in the world of this anomaly detection technology, helping organisations revolutionise the way they get the best out of their own data.

Insights with an Entrepreneur is facilitated by Cambridge News journalist Matthew Gooding:
