CW members elect new Board
You can’t escape from elections at the moment, and CW (Cambridge Wireless) is no exception. CW is very proud to be an organisation owned by its members with a Board elected by its members, so we are delighted to announce the results of the recent elections to the Board. We had 116 companies vote for three new Directors.
CW Announces IoTUKBoost Cambridge Competition Finalists
CW is delighted to announce the 10 SMEs shortlisted in the national IotUKBoost LPWAN Competition. The finalists have solutions ranging from air quality measurement, waste bin monitoring, transport, food monitoring, bicycle solutions and assisted living to address the challenges in the Cambridgeshire region. All finalists are keen to support a smarter Cambridge City by collaborating alongside competition sponsors and partners.
Spring time means elections for CW. As you are probably aware Cambridge Wireless Ltd is effectively owned by its Members who elect the governing Board responsible for the organisations' strategic direction. Each spring we carry out an election process for any board positions that are expiring.
CW welcomes Autumn Statement support for Broadband and 5G
CW (Cambridge Wireless) has welcomed the Government’s commitment to invest £1 billion to support the private sector roll-out of full-fibre broadband by 2020-21 and trials of 5G mobile communications, announced in yesterday’s Autumn Statement to Parliament by Chancellor Philip Hammond.
CW is a not-for-profit organisation that is owned by its members, with a governing board that is elected by the membership.
Members are drawn from all parts of the wireless enabled world, from securely connected devices, networks, smart phones, software and applications, through to data analytics, content delivery, telecommunications and satellites.
