CW (Cambridge Wireless) is a membership organisation based in Cambridge, UK which engages with local and international organisations that concern the whole wireless communications arena. In addition to high level networking dinners, educational events and business development activities, Cambridge Wireless runs an annual Future of Wireless International Conference along with the Discovering Start-Ups initiative to support emerging, innovative wireless companies. Over 15 Special Interest Groups focussed on specific technologies and market sectors, also provide opportunities for members to meet, form partnerships to exploit new commercial opportunities, and share knowledge and information about the latest industry trends and hot topics. Cambridge Wireless members see fresh opportunities to bring together key people and organisations with complementary needs and interests based on all major wireless technologies including: 3G, CDMA, WiFi, Zigbee, WiMax, Ultra Wide Band (UWB), Bluetooth and RFID, enabling them to communicate with partners around the world.
Further supporting international communication and interaction, Cambridge Wireless has formed a number of partnerships with equivalent counterparts. These include The Wireless Industry Partnership in Canada, Wavefront Canada and Mobile Computing Promotion Consortium Japan. We also have links to membership organisations around the UK including Silicon Southwest, Wireless Innovation in Scotland, One Nucleus and Wireless Innovation Lab in Ireland.
